About Us

Welcome to the Red Deer Skating Club — your local home for figure skating, ice skating lessons, and a supportive skating community. For almost 70 years, we’ve been inspiring skaters of all ages and skill levels to discover the passion, develop excellence, and experience the thrill of skating. We boast 1400 + member annually with members ages 3 to adult. We are a not-for-profit Skate Canada sanctioned club with our year-round operations made possible thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers who work alongside our professional skating coaches.

Our Story

Our club began with a simple mission: to create a welcoming, inclusive space where anyone — from first-time skaters to competitive athletes — can learn, grow, and shine on the ice. Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted skating academy in Red Deer, known for expert coaching, strong values, and a passion for excellence.

What We Offer

At Red Deer Skating Club, we provide:

• Learn-to-Skate  (Canskate) programs for beginners of all ages
• Power skating programs for hockey and ringette players
• Adult and teen skating programs
• Figure skating training for recreational and competitive skaters
• Performance coaching to help athletes reach their goals
• Leadership Develop through our Program Assistant program
• Ice Show, galas,  team building events, seminars and competitions that bring our community together

Our dedicated coaching team focuses on building skills, confidence, and artistry, ensuring every skater feels supported and inspired.
